Banner by Lizzie! Rowan Edwards: 19-year-old British redhead, university student studying English, klutz extraordinaire. And now, after a strange twist of fate, Michael Clifford's latest muse. Rowan didn't expect this. She went for a walk and somehow running into Emerson Allen, best friend and girlfriend of Ashton Irwin, led to not only a friendship with Emerson and the boys, but something more with the band's video game loving, hair dye obsessed guitarist. Navigating a budding relationship is difficult, even in the best of circumstances. But when one of half of the potential couple is someone whose ever-growing popularity means fans, media scrutiny, living out of a suitcase, and never being in the same place for more than a few weeks, it seems nearly impossible. Fans, scrutiny, and distance be damned, Rowan is determined to make things work between her and Michael. But in the end, she's not so sure that it'll all work out in her favor. *Companion fic to The Only Reason/not necessary to read beforehand* Updated: December 6th Chapter: 1 Link: HERE

Michael really didn't want to go to England.
He didn't want to stay with his cousins, he didn't want to be away from his band mates for half a year and he definetley didn't want to go to his Aunt's stupid wedding.
But in order to keep his family happy, he put on a fake smile and tried to act as if he didn't want to jump onto the next flight back to Sydney.
However, in the midst of Michael's internal hatred for the UK, a beautiful plot twist called Lori Phillips manages to clamber her way into his life, and eventually his heart.
But with less than five months left until the Clifford's have to head home, Michael realizes that going back no longer sounds like a good idea. An AU where Luke can't stop skyping Michael, Ashton is in the middle of an existential crisis at the age of 20, Calum is getting unwanted male attention and Michael somehow falls in love. Update: 09/12/14 Chapter: six (is that the sound of abi updating I THINK IT IS)

(c) seeingred If there was one thing that Ida Lovelace absolutely hated, it was the fact that her birthday came around the time of Christmas because everyone completely forgot about her. And so when her piano class decides to do Secret Santa, she doesn't bother pointing out that her birthday is coming up, because no cares and no one remembers. Well, almost no one. Isabelle and Luke are from two completely different worlds. Hers is one of public schools, red solo cups, and a staunch belief in the American Dream whilst his is one of etiquette lessons, foreign dignitaries, and a future mapped out since birth. That all changes the day Isabelle and her little sister are forced to say
goodbye to the only home they’ve ever known and travel thousands of miles to live with their father in the small European country that Luke, the second son of the reigning monarch, calls home. Luke’s world is completely foreign to Isabelle, and despite the welcome she receives
from Luke’s family and friends, not everyone is so accepting of her American ways. And it doesn’t help when her presence begins to threaten more than a thousand years of honored tradition. Traditions Luke finds antiquated and in need of upheaval anyway. Together they set a course to challenge the status quo – even if it means upsetting a few nobles along the way.

Vera Morreno didn't believe in fate. She was just the high school beauty queen that always got her way, even if it didn't make her happy.
Calum Hood believed in love at first sight. Too bad no one gave him the time of day, a fact he had found a way to deal with.
That is until one night when Calum was able to be Vera's knight in shining armor, rescuing her from the drunken rage of her boyfriend.
For Calum, it was love at first sight, and their long drive home was the magic he had been searching for.
For Vera, she had to run as quickly as she could from Calum, leaving him with only a soft kiss to remember her by.
Now, nearly four years later, they're both in America trying to make their dreams come true.
Can a simple song and a timid hello bring back memories and feelings strong enough to awaken even the saddest of hearts?
Or will the pain of the things they've done in the interim be too much for either of them to work past?
A story of first love, dark pasts, and realizing you always find your way home.

After four years of living on a ship, serving his country, Luke comes back home to find that not only is the world around him different, but everyone expects him to be the same boy he used to be. He doesn't have any idea what direction he's going to take in this world, and he had hoped that going into the Navy would fix that. It hadn't.
Running into the mysterious Eve Mavor, however, just might.
She said my words were beautiful, more beautiful than anything on this damned earth. So I write her, and maybe one day she will see herself the same.
A story of love (in all it's forms), acceptance, and true beauty.

DuskIn order to save her best friend's life, 17 year old Faith made a deal with a crossroads demon: Luke's recovery in exchange for her soul. She thought it would be simple, make the deal, seal it by kissing some hundred year old demon and then never see him again until she had to pay her half of the bargain. What she didn't expect was for her demon to be young, mysterious, closed-off, attractive and called Michael.
Now, 2 years later, he's returned earlier than planned with news of a cult moving towards Sydney who have high hopes of finishing off their ritual: sacrifice Luke and use his body as a vessel for a demon that will give them enough power to restore Hell's most powerful archangel, Lucifer, and fight alongside him to regain power over Heaven and Earth.
So now, with a little help from an incubus who instantly takes a liking to Faith and a boy who claims to be the 'Prince of the Underworld turned rogue', Faith, Luke and Michael set off across Australia to stay alive and discover who they really are and why the hell Luke is so bloody important. "You want to travel across the Australian outback with a whiny human, a moody demon, a horny half-blood and some rich kid claiming to be Lucifer's son? Yeah, good luck with that."Updated: 14/12/14 Chapter: Two

Willa May Burke wasn't a fan of sleeping at night. She preferred staying up and testing new recipes on customers who stumbled in the door at midnight. That was the beauty of an all night cafe, the drunken customers always gave an honest answer.
Calum Thomas Hood wasn't a fan of getting out of bed before noon. But lately he couldn't seem to fall asleep before two AM. But when a restless night and smell of cinnamon leads him to a glowing bakery with a girl whose brightness is nothing in comparison to the lights outside her shop, being awake at 2 AM doesn't seem so bad anymore.
A story of late night coffee, fumbling in the dark and finding love in the most unexpected places

Michael Clifford and Shelby Moore have been through a lot together. From nearly getting hit by a speeding car at five years old to holding together a long distance friendship at twenty, they had been there for one another through the good, the bad, the ugly, and all the little things in between.
So when the guys of 5 Seconds of Summer decided to take a six month break from not only their music, but from one another, of course the first person Michael turned to was his lifelong friend. And, Shelby was more than happy to have Michael stay with her in Chicago while she finished her studies at the University.
The pair soon find out that long distance phone calls and scattered texts might just be the way their relationship is meant to be, especially when certain feelings that are much easier to hide at a distance start to rear their ugly heads. But hey, they’ve been through worse, so what is a confession or two going to change?
Unfortunately, the answer could be everything. beautiful banner made by lennon.

Contrary to popular belief, there's a job description to being one of the best whores available.
I won't bore you with the details of my contract, which are probably too... Technical for you to understand anyway, but there's three main rules - do your job well, pretend you enjoyed it and don't get wrapped up in sentiment, because sentiment doesn't pay for new suspenders.
And the most sentimental of the bunch? 20 year old band members with stupid bandanas and a desperation for somebody to spoon with. But if I get paid my £6,000 an hour, well... I'll do my job well, pretend I enjoyed it and get as sucked in as he likes.
Because 20 year old band members, surprisingly, DO pay for new suspenders.
A filthy tale of prostitutes, money, expensive bottles of wine, drugs, late nights, creepy red-haired stalkers, and a whole lot of rough, dirty sex.

Act your ageSimple was not what Luke's life was. He had multiple college essays due in, a shit job as a waiter, an ever rising rent to pay and his parents constantly breathing down his neck in hope of pushing him in what they believed was the right direction; law school. His friends were all moving on with their lives, going on dates and getting good grades whilst Luke spent his free time watching TV, sleeping and lighting up a few joints whenever life started getting a little bit too much for him to handle. Then, when he's finally accepted the fact that not paying the rent on time for three months in a row will most likely get him kicked out, a miracle arrives on his doorstep with nothing but vodka, a suitcase, a puppy called Wilson and a lot of childhood memories that Luke originally thought he had suppressed. A story featuring Chinese takeaways, a dramatic wedding, earning money for the bills, referencing musicals every chance they get, stoners and showering together (to save water of course).

(c) the amazing Karissa
Calum Hood’s got a lot on his plate and the china’s about to crack (and, no, this is not the appropriate time for Asian jokes, damn it!).
His daily to-do list grows longer and longer every waking moment and the ringing echoes of his name calling him to attention have got him paranoid at all hours.
Life is shattering to pieces in his palms and Calum can’t even feel the pain or see the blood because he’s too damn distracted.
Or where Cal thinks he’s a super hero, but maybe he’s the one who needs saving.
