The Art of Getting ByStella Kale got six months to sort her life out. Calum Hood got six months to write a few number one hits. It's almost faith when Stella decides to not look back, stop depending on her parents so much, for well, everything and gets stuck in a constant repetition of it's not you, it's me (and other similar interpretations) in the city of narrow streets and a never-ending rain supply. It's probably faith when Calum finds a girl to write all those pop/indie/rock songs about, falls in love with the right girl at the wrong time and gets pulled into a repetition of how did we get here? (and other similar questions) in the city of tea lovers and flats – not apartments. Faith, though, she's got a weird habit of pushing people until she finds a weak spot and well, maybe a slight appreciation for schadenfreude. An AU on how to make rash decisions, unrequited love, proving everyone right without actually meaning too and the art of getting by.

Ignore the signsIf there was one thing Michael Clifford knew, it was to never betray his friend's trust.Luke had asked him to never play his guitar; Michael rarely even looked at it anymore.Calum had told him to keep quiet about his drunken escapades; Michael acted as if he was a virgin.Ashton had demanded that he never look at his sister as more than a friend; well, Michael sort of ignored that one.But what Ashton doesn't know can't hurt him... so the saying goes.Or rather, the one where Luke is in the dark about almost everything, Calum cares too much about his needs, Ashton really hates his bandmates - sometimes - and Michael thinks about his best friend's sister in ways he would surely be grounded for.Updated - 18/02/2015 Chapter - One

Raking the Ashes
Akimi Russel had lived nineteen years and, apart from her assiduous coven, had yet to encounter any other magical being.
That all changed on a rainy night in May when a blonde boy walked into her house with only the shirt on his back and zero memories of his life before. Suddenly, everywhere she turned there was evidence of magical interference.
She probably should have paid more attention to her parents' advice when she had the chance.
Or the one where a girl has a lot of trouble understanding her feelings (and powers), a boy doesn’t know what’s up and what’s down, and they all argue with a group of shapeshifters.

(amazing banner by aimee!!) Crystal Zhao has a heart of glass and skin of stone. She is ready for any and all undoubtedly awful situations life can, and will, spit in her face. Take this plane ride, for example. Fourteen hours of being squished between her freshly dumped ex and a sniveling teenager with motion sickness is nothing. Bring it on. And she doesn't even care that the bathroom is occupied with some overly affectionate couple doing God-knows-what. She's determined to strut off this flight with neatly applied lipstick and a haughty, raised eyebrow for good measure. And she will, damnit - if only that nosy kid a row back can stop kicking the seat. In which the dumb are the wise and vice versa, and the nickname Puke Hemmings is disgustingly accurate.a one-shot for the airport au series

The Philosophy of SolitudeThe world is a lonely place, Scarlet Young felt this wasn’t a debatable topic. Her philosophy on life was; pain is inexorable. No matter what there is no escape of the vortex creeping up on you unexpectedly and once it happens it’s irrevocable. You can’t break what you can’t find. Because of Scarlet’s phobia of being broken she hides every inch of personality buried deep inside and puts up a façade that was stimulated by artificial hair coloring and her eccentric way of speaking. In hopes of fixing their (broken) daughter Scarlet’s parents decide to send he to her aunt’s (the child phycologist) house. This hadn’t affected Scarlet in the slightest. Just because her parent’s thought there was something wrong with her didn’t mean there was. Calum wasn’t the happy go lucky boy Scarlet remembered playing with outside when she was four and (enjoyed) spending time with her aunt. Instead he was the shell of a soul, proving her philosophy right, the world was a lonely place and this boy was experiencing it firsthand. Of course there is still a lot Scarlet didn’t know and a lot she didn’t think she would ever know, between her overbearing aunt interrogating her constantly, the neighbor boy’s dull brown eyes swirling around in her head, and an implausible secret that Scarlet was never supposed to know, summer with her aunt had suddenly become a nightmare. Leaving Scarlet to question everything she thought she knew. Sometimes you don’t always get a happy ending, Sometimes you get a bearable one and that is all. Click here for link

Running from his problems was what Michael Clifford did best.
After an incident involving the law, he finds himself running from New York to find refuge in his hometown of Babylon, North Carolina.
Babylon looked perfect from the outside, but Michael knew that things weren't always what they seemed. He was one of the few who knew all the town's secrets, at least the ones that his father had shared with him. Living in his friend's basement, Michael is desperate to get his life back on track despite the blast from his past that he can't seem to shake: Johanna Goode.
When the two witness the murder of a friend, they're forced into a world of deadly secrets, deception, and a plot that could not only end up with half the town dead, but could change everything Michael thought he had known. This time, running isn't an option. There are too many lives at stake, and he's dead set on saving the citizens from those they trust most. A task that Johanna simply won't allow him to take on alone.
He will save the town and the ones he loves.
If he doesn't wind up dead, that is.

(c) seeingred Amelia Connors is a hopeless romantic, but she's not about to stand still, waiting for prince charming to fall into her lap. What many count as failed relationships and fear of being alone, Mel views as attempts to find that one guy who will sweep her off her feet, and never put her down. Five years have passed since Calum Hood and herself began an improbable friendship. And, while both of them have found success in their careers, Mel's heart is still up for the taking. If she could only figure out who it belongs to. A story about embracing heartbreak, never giving up on your beliefs and trying to explain to everyone why dating a lot does not make you desperate.updated: March 11th 2015 chapter: two (Technically it's chapter one but it had a prologue so yeah...) Teenagers
There was one thing the spunky, Sylvia Everly’s knew; how to go out in style. She was stubborn and if you dared her to do something spontaneous for example shaving off half of her hair, she would most likely do it to prove she isn’t a chicken. Rose on the other hand is way more cautious, she is Sylvia’s younger sister but sometimes she feels like the older one. She is always cleaning up Sylvia’s messes, but she doesn’t mind because she loves her. The only thing she didn’t like is being treated like a kid, which felt like a constant for her. When Sylvia and Rose’s parents go on a trip to France for two months with the Hemmings to try and rekindle their dying romance they are stuck with their neighbors rowdy son and his friends. updated: 11/03/15 chapter: two click here to read chapter two

(c) seeingred The day she met him, Tyler knew that Luke Hemmings was the one. There was no one more important to Tyler than Luke, nothing more important than his happiness, and if all he wanted from her was their friendship then he would be content with it until he changed his mind. She could hold back her crazy feelings, like the ones that told her she was madly in love with him, until that time came around, if it didn't take too long for him to realize he loved her back, of course. She would not wait for him forever. The day he met her, Luke knew that Tyler Quentin was the one. The only problem was that he never fully realized it. By the time he realized what she really meant to him, how he truly felt about her, she had already started to move on. And the worst part, was that it was all his doing. He was the one who had not wanted a commitment, who had not wanted to be held down. If only he could find the courage to speak up, he might be able to have everything he didn't realize he ever wanted. And if he doesn't, he just might lose her for good. chapter one posted on 16 March 2015 read it here.

Boys Don't CryEmma Foster was certain her life wouldn't change. She would stay in school, attend pointless college parties at the request of her 'friends' and eventually graduate and go to the local university. However, a chance encounter with an aspiring tattoo artist in her art class and his group of friends that have a deadly feud with the school's fearsome Irwin brothers manages to knock Emma's plan off scale, leading her to a life with enough violence, crime and secrets to last her a lifetime. And enough love and sacrifice to show the true heart of a boy who she never knew she needed.Chapter - prologueUpdated - 21/03/15

MURDER IN THE UNITED STATES CAPITAL
Near the eve of the horrendous attack on the Twin Towers, fourteen years ago, two bodies were discovered in the Potomac River, near the U.S. capital of Washington D.C.. Both bodies were classified as white, middle-aged men, who both owned a connection to one man: Ashton Irwin. At this time, we mourn the loss of two astounding men: Vincent Carbone and Matthew Sterling.
Ashton Irwin had committed a crime that made outsider's stomachs churn. What he had done was unforgivable to the public, but, to Clara Hadley, she seemed to think it was quite reasonable.

Sad Song
Thanks to seeingred for this awesome banner!
There’s a tiny line that separates friendship and true love. A tiny line that many are afraid to cross but that if crossed can bring joy.
Or tears. Many, many tears.
Summer Winters and Calum Hood are known around West Sidney High School for being hip and bone. No one does really imagine a world where Summer and Calum are not… well… Summer and Calum: the two greatest friends of all times, the two friends who are probably closer than Lilo and Stitch or Merlin and Dory!
Calum and Summer are inseparable.
Is it, really?
A story of midnight runaways, morning jogs, crazy adventures in the forest, good lattes on rainy days and silent tears to the mix.
