i remember them in like 2011 or 2012 idk whenever it was and i wasn't a fan but they were just some band i heard about occasionally bc sorta ~known in aussie youth

5 seconds of summer is like, the greatest new boyband, and the lead singer just makes my knees weak *heart flutters* and the Asian one is adorable!
they're basically like the new and better one direction!
they're just getting their recognition they deserve!

But Ugh Nope I can not stand this ignorance

me either, im happy for them - good they are living the dream. but i kinda just dont want them to turn into another version of one direction, you know? id like them to be "all time low" famous, i want them to be able to go public on their relationships without a shitload of hate, i want them to do twitcams and be idiots, but if the fandom gets too big and they get signed by some shitty management, well be saying goodbye to every good thing in life.

I hope it'll die out. I mean, when you really think about it, 5sos is so new and different. Like, a band like theirs getting so popular isn't normal, and I'm really glad that these for obscure dorks who make pop rock music is getting a lot of recognition, and they're really talented, but I hope within a year or two, it dwindles down.

Hopefully they're smart, and they allow themselves breaks. Like, with 1d, they just did a lot of shit in the span of 4 years. So they were constantly on the radar. I'm hoping that after the Rock Out tour, they'll just stop with everything. Lay low. Write some music. I think that'll be best for them.
