This was also posted on our tumblr, but I figured that I should post it here as well.
So after discussing with the new admins (lovely people they are, just wonderful to work with) for the last day, we’ve worked out a schedule for our awards, featured fics, and author spotlights!! Everything will be starting in September, but we intend to start planning for everything immediately.
So after discussing with the new admins (lovely people they are, just wonderful to work with) for the last day, we’ve worked out a schedule for our awards, featured fics, and author spotlights!! Everything will be starting in September, but we intend to start planning for everything immediately.
Our featured fics and author spotlights will start in the beginning of September. Our first featured fic will be posted sometime during the first week, and our first author spotlight the week after. Featured fics will be weekly, and author spotlights bi-weekly.
If you guys have any submissions for our featured fics and/or author spotlights, send to our ask or submit box on tumblr and we’ll check them out!! Otherwise, we’ll be picking them out ourselves.
The Autumn 2014 Underground Awards will begin taking nominations on September 14th, which is roughly five weeks from today.
Nomination period lasts only two weeks, so it will be ending on September 28th. There will be a two day pause in between nomination and voting (this is so we can create the voting form, create the banner for nominees, and just for extra suspense).
Voting, as well, lasts only two weeks, so it will be going on from October 1st to October 15th. Along with the official winners, we will be doing runner ups and judge’s picks. This way, we can offer recognition to more stories. It will take time for us to make all the badges, so we will probably be announcing the winners around October 17th - October 20th.
