super cringe-worthily simple banner tut 
(in advance, I apologize for the ratchetness of this tutorial- I really should be doing my barely started summer work but this was more appealing… I'm still rushing, though, so soz)

This is the banner we will be making today:
Steps:
1) Open a blank 650x200 canvas. Add another blank layer (to be used later).
2) Paste her onto the canvas a little towards the right and (softly) erase most of the background (as shown below).
3) Use the color picker tool to pick the color from the girl's hair. Use the bucket fill tool to dump that color onto the blank layer mentioned in the first step.
4) Paste Zayn behind her and slightly to the left and (softly) erase around him. Use the color picker tool to pick up the color of the girl's hair again and fill in Zayn's hair and shirt with that color, so he'll blend in better with the background.
5) Type "fra.gile" into a text layer in white Zapfino Italic, font size 39. In PT Sans Caption Bold, type "HE WAS HER ONLY CURE" and "AND SHE COULDN'T HAVE HIM" in white, font size 10 with a kerning of 1.00.
6) Copy the smaller text boxes. Change the "HE WAS HER ONLY CURE" copy to a bright teal-blue and shift the copy down one and left one. Change the "AND SHE COULDN'T HAVE HIM" copy to a bright red and shift the copy up one and right one. Change the opacities of both copies to 50.00.
7) Click on the "fra.gile" text box and go to Filters > Light and Shadow > Drop Shadow… and drop the shadow BUT make sure to uncheck the box that reads "Allow resizing."
8) Paste this just underneath the text layers and widen the image to cover the whole canvas. Set the opacity to around 30.00 and the mode to lighten only.
9) Use the first "psd" (it's actually for gimp) from this source (from the tumblr candyflosscolouring).
