Soooo, I personally suck at very AU stories, so here's me offering the challenge and absorbing greatness from all of you! Hope you guys have fun!

title of the challenge: Alternate Universe Challenge (woooo!)
requirements: one shot, 3,000 words or more
mechanics: When you pick one from each of the three categories, I'll PM you with a boy, a time period/alternate world, and a random prompt word!

To make this clearer, you can change your boy up to once if you so choose! Just PM me and let me know! As for the time period - as long as it takes place during that time and has some influences of the era in it, you should be fine. Lastly, the prompt - feel free to use this to any degree you wish (from a brief mention to major plot point is fine!). Hope this makes things clearer!

rules:

1. First thing's first (I'm da realest) and, also, no plagiarism ya'll - that's not cool
2. If you need an extension, please PM me at least three days before the deadline!
3. Your one-shot must be 3k words plus. That being said, one shots only please!
4. Any rating goes! (winky face)
5. Please put the challenge title in your summary and PM when you've posted it!

prizes:

first place: Favorite author, favorite all your fics, and ten reviews on a fic of your choice! (First place graphic, maybe)
second place: Favorite author, one faved fic, and seven reviews!
third place: Faved fic and five reviews!

length/deadline: October 30th at midnight EST time!! (Halloween, wooo!) So ya'll should have plenty of time!
