Michael is almost convinced that he’d be better off facing the consequences of his actions back in New York.
None of those things seem to matter as soon as he comes across the darkest secret the town has to hold, consequently putting both himself and Johanna in harm’s way as witnesses to cold-blooded murder. The only thing keeping them alive is the knowledge that if they show that they know anything at all, their lives could be on the line.
And well, Michael had never been a very good actor.
