smut help

I just finished setting up my story and i came across a problem. i have to write smut.

i have no idea how to write smut.

pls help.

i think what's best for me is reading a lot of smut ? like I follow like 2 5sos smut blogs (no shame), and tend to just read over a couple before I start writing the scene. While the smut i'm reading might be different than what Im writing, it still puts me in the smut mindset, which is different than regular writing bc there are so many awkward words you have to use, and it's hard for me to get the perfect in-between of describing and emotions.

tho i'm not some smut master so idk don't quote me on this. but that's usually what I do.

(also, don't be afraid, my friend. the readers can sense when you're afraid (I read that somewhere), like, just get comfortable with it and you should be fine. it gets easier the more you do it)
