Haley's Comet tutorial!

First of all I'd like to start out by saying sorry because I don't remember where I got all my textures and stuff, they are not mine and credit goes to the makers!!

i use photoshop cs5 so im not sure what the deal is with gimp, but it should be transferable to other ps

also, ive never done a tut before so this may be the worst explaining ever!!! just ask if you have any questions!

Alright, so we'll be making this banner: (fun fact, this is literally not even for a story, i was just bored one day and yeah it happened)

im also aware that this isnt the normal way of spelling hayley but i just liked the way it looked oops

1. take the texture 1 and place it on a canvas sized 650x200, move it around to your liking. 
then hard cut calum from his picture and place him to the right side



2. now take alex's photo (yeah theres two of her) and place her on top, make a layer mask and with a soft black pencil erase around her BUT leave her hands (in the second picture) slightly visible



3. now we're gonna get the window image and place it over the left side of alex's face. add a layer mask and use a soft black brush on the spots you want erased



4. add a new layer and use a soft black brush and draw on the bottom (artistically!) then put the layer on soft light, it will create a shadow on the bottom



5. add the fire/sparkle image. put it over the image and set it to lighten



6. add the text. "haleys" is in arsenale white size 24 and "comet" is in bebas neue size 18. they are both in white then i added a layer of #ff9d10 (orange)



7. add the texture 'psd 41 by evey' over the image and set it to soft light and 13% opacity. you may have to play around with the layer visibility (the eye things) because there are black and white options and such with this one. but all you want is the texture. the actual layer is called 'relleno de motivo 1'



8. last thing is adding the psds. 'princess of china' is set at 86% opacity and '4' is set at 81%

This is kind of like really late, but I attempted to do the tut. I got a tad confused but was able to figure it out. It's kind of really bad and didn't turn out quite right but, I hope I didn't completely butcher your tut.
