Hi!
i just wanted to ask a quick question really on what kind of stories people preferred? Because i have this idea at the moment and im really undecided on whether to make it a 5 part story or a really really long 2 part one shot? ive written what could easily be the first part which is 1793 words long, but i could also continue writing to make it longer and only have two parts?? so i was just wondering if like theres an amount for a part being too long and becoming boring, and whether people prefer two parts but with a bigger gap between updates compared to like 6 spread out??
thank you so much for your help!
love, gem xx

Honestly I don’t really care about the word count as long as the story is well written (that’s not the problem, your stories are always well written). Though, I guess that it will depend on the complexity of the story. Like, if it is a story with many twists and turns it’s better if you split it into parts because it’s easier for people to assimilate the changes. On the other hand if it’s a more plain story, I think that the two long parts are good because that means that people will be more enveloped in the plot and the feels. This is just my opinion, and you probably didn’t understand a thing but I really hope this helped Mariana Xx

i think it depends on what you're comfortable writing? because otherwise it comes down to personal preferences, ya know? like, personally i'm a huge fan of immediate gratification so i'd probably prefer the two longer chapters because it would only require two updates, but really, like mariana said above, it probably depends on the level of complexity you want to add to your story!
(but yeah idk long one-shots are my aesthetic tbh so i'm probably biased!)
good luck! :]
