So hey, it me, after some careful planning I've decided to write a gang/mafia type fic (who doesn't love those, right?) but deciding on which boy to make as the main boy is becoming...difficult. So why not go to the audience for their opinion? I mean, you're gonna be the ones reading it after all xD so here's a basic break down of the plot and each boy's personality/slight background info as well as the main girl's info! (So get ready for a long ass thread everyone...HERE WE GO)
Black+Blue
Luke was worried about one day having to run the family business of killing drug lords and trading weaponry.
Calum was worried about potentially having dangerous anger issues and putting his loved ones in danger.
Michael was worried he was never going to find out what happened to his real parents.
Ashton was worried for the safety of his brother and sister with their neglectful father coming back.
June was worried whether she was going to pass her Literature exam on Tuesday.
a gang au where the hemmings rule australia,
the clifford's are nowhere to be seen,
the hood's have psychotic children,
the irwin's need better luck and the hale's are oblivious.
Luke Hemmings - (20) - The damaged goods
Labelled the golden boy of the family since birth, the youngest Hemmings boy has been raised on how to shoot a gun and take down 5 guys single-handedly, as well as how to manage trading to various countries and keeping peace amongst allied mob families. His father, Rob, had taught all three of his sons, and even his young daughters, the ways of their family and the legacy his father, grandfather, great-grandfather etc left behind. With his father and eldest brother now dead however, it now falls to Luke's only surviving brother to take over the family business, leaving Luke as the next heir. He's the brains of the family, constantly figuring out new trading routes and creating new alliances with his brother, all whilst taking care of his sisters and his non-biological brothers, Ashton, Michael and Calum. He doesn't take as much of an interest in women other than a few one night stands here and there, due to his work being his life, compared to his older brother who takes full advantage of his fame and fortune. Luke does however drown away the sorrows of his family history and tragedy in alcohol and drugs, testing the product before selling it out so to speak, and this has gotten him into many fights and nearly cost him the family's safety on multiple occasions, making his brother suspicious of whether or not his little sibling is fit to become leader one day. He's always quiet and always planning, however there is an innocence to Luke that has long been forgotten by nearly everyone but his three friends and sisters, and he connects with them the most and would do anything to protect them.
Michael Clifford - (21) - The cold hearted
At age 10, Michael's family warehouse was attacked by the rival Italian mob family in the city of Venice, leaving the place in a complete wreck, with him being the only sole survivor and his parents nowhere to be seen. The Hemmings, having close ties with the Clifford's, adopted Michael as their own in honour of their allies, giving him everything their own blood would have, as well as training him up to be the strong muscle man he is today. Michael is the toughest of the group and the strongest, and was assigned as Luke's bodyguard at 16. Michael constantly has his back and his always there on business meetings and trips, never allowing his best friend, his brother, out of his sight. His loyalties also go further to Luke's brother and sister's as well as Ashton and Calum. Ever since the warehouse was destroyed, Michael has not been back to Italy, nor found out what happened to his parents, only assuming their disappearance was final. Michael is very stern and sarcastic, using dry humour and satire to cover up any hint of weakness he may have. He is often teased by Ashton and Calum for being the 'pure' group member, having never been with a woman due to his dedication and debt to the Hemmings family, never wanting to let his guard down, or the walls around his heart, as he can't lose anyone else in his life. It would surely destroy him. Michael is well taught in the art of combat training, guns, knives and the ways of the trading world, but has very little understanding of typical things such as girls, dating, parties, etc.
Calum Hood - (20) - The completely crazy
Being the only living son of Australia's most lethal families comes with it's benefits, and Calum has managed to develop some incredible talents over the years, including hand to hand combat, expert gun skills and the ability to simply not give a fuck about having to kill someone on business. It does however mean that due to years of 'careful breeding' that the Hood blood line had to go off the rails somewhere. Both Calum and his older sister are known for their trigger happy personalities that not only lead them into trouble, but also get them out of it every single time. Calum is the slightly crazy and girl obsessed party animal that is never seen without a Desert Eagle tucked into his jeans, a diamond ring from his late grandmother on his finger and a topless picture of Riley Reid in his wallet. Adored by the Hemmings eldest son, Calum is Luke's right hand man in the field, never missing an opportunity to shoot up a warehouse or take out a few bodyguards at a club. Calum does however tend to take the partying to a whole new level, indulging in which Michael would describe as 'sinful' activities in whore houses and underground clubs run by his sister. In the Hemmings group he is the arms dealer, always stashing guns and other worrying weapons around his house and even in the bottom of his car, never leaving the house without protection. In fact, he gifted the youngest Hemmings daughter on her 13th birthday with a Smith and Western, only to have it confiscated by Luke the moment she started waving it around. He cares little for others and has difficult connecting to people on an emotional level and understanding them, having acute aspergers and serious anger issues, Calum could snap at any given moment, making him the deadliest weapon the Hemmings and the Hood's posses.
Ashton Irwin - (22) - The big softy
Hailed as the parental figure of the group, seeing as Michael doesn't have parents, Luke has no father and Calum is never at home anymore, Ashton is the boys rock, their brother, partner, father, mother, best friend all in one. Growing up taking care of his younger siblings due to neglectful parents has been his job since he was 7, and he's never looked back. Since taking his brother and sister into the Hemmings home, he has long since forgotten about his work obsessed mother and drunken father. He refuses to drink, not touching the stuff since he was a teenager and making sure his friends don't get into too much trouble, as he knows what it's like to grow up in a household stinking of liquor. Ashton is bubbly and sweet to the younger siblings and always tries to crack a joke around his boys, because even though its 'work work work' he knows they need to lighten up every once in a while. He does however have a shockingly scary angry demeanour when faced with a tough situation and has had to talk all the boys out of dangerous and practically life threatening decisions when it comes to trading and allies taking more than their share of goods. Ashton has always wanted to settle down and find a wife, wanting children of his own one day, and often dreams about leaving the gang forever and starting a life of his own, going as far as to researching uni's in secret and possibly taking a degree in law. He loves his brothers and their families, but getting older means moving on, and he believes his day is finally coming, sooner than he may realise.
June Hale - (19) - The addicting heroin
June grew up in England with only her mother to take care of her, constantly surrounded by books and magazines she developed a love for reading and literature very early on. Her dream is to one day become an author or even a screen writer for films, however she needs to finish her University courses before any of that can happen. Her mother packed her up and moved the two of them to Australia after June's abusive and possessive father tried to creep back into the picture. Since then, the women have been inseparable and constantly act as the other's rock. June has had past boyfriends that never seemed to work out, the boy being too keen or not interested at all other than for what was underneath her clothes. She is witty, sarcastic and often clumsy, but intelligent in her own right. She is fluent in Italian and French, having both of the cultures burn through her veins, and has an extensive collection of French films and Italian vinyls. June isn't afraid to stand up for herself or her family and friends, never allowing herself to be walked all over or used, knowing what it did to her mother and how strong she is now, and refuses to let a boy define her life. However, she has always wondered what it would be like to meet 'the one', or at least feel a real emotional connection with someone. She sees herself as independent and carefree, wanting to take life as it comes without planning too much, and isn't used to busy or frantic lifestyles. She is her own person, and is willing to wait for the right person she can protect, love and fight for.
So there we go! All 5 of the protagonists, wow. So please, please, PLEASE let me know which boy you think would be right as the story's main man, and June's love interest, and maybe even why you think so?
